Hippie Juice

I found this on pinterest and just had to try it with my family at our annual trip to Sun lakes. It was a huge hit so I needed to share it with all of you. I found this recipe on a great blog called Peace Love and Guacamole I changed the ingredients slightly for my own taste. I personally love Simply Raspberry Lemonade so I added it instead of country time. I also added more alcohol because we didn't feel it was strong enough the first time around. Try it and let me know if you think.

Ingredients
Simply Raspberry Lemonade
5 fresh strawberries sliced
Smirnoff Watermelon Vodka
Triple sec
Malibu Coconut Rum

Directions

Clean an empty container of Simply Lemonade. Using a funnel add 1 1/2 Cups of Watermelon Vodka, 1/3 cup triple sec, and 1/2 cup Coconut rum.

Add sliced strawberries. Then fill the rest with Simple Raspberry Lemonade. Refrigerate and when ready to serve over ice.

  3. I'll bet it wasn't strong enough the first time because there's less sugar in the Raspberry Lemonade than in the powdered Country Time... but I'm glad that you and your family liked it! I also like the modification of more rum. You can never go wrong with more rum. Have a good one!!! :)

    1. Ska, I think you are right. I was hard to tell how it would change the drink and the first time is always a learning experience. My sister said I might not even need the triple sec because it is already sweet enough. That is why I didn't modify the quantity of it. Thanks for coming by and checking it out.

  5. Oh yum, that sounds so wonderful!! I have never tried using watermelon vodka. I made a frozen watermelon drink that that would have gone well with but this one sounds so good with lemonade!
