Turkey and Swiss on a Croissant is simple and one of the best sandwiches in the world. If you live or work near a cafe or bakery that sells fresh croissants buy one and make this sandwich. I promise you will be the happiest person at lunch time.
Ingredients
Fresh croissant
3-4 slices of honey turkey
2 slices of Swiss cheese
1 tbs mayo (not miracle whip)
Directions
Slice croissant in half and coat with a very light spread of mayo. Croissant are full of butter so they really don't need much mayo. Add turkey and then cheese. Nothing more nothing less. Best sandwich hands down. Try it for lunch or dinner today and let me know what you think.
This looks super good! :9 Yum!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever warmed the sandwich so the cheese is melted?

I agree! You could even throw on some avocado, just sayin' :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like the perfect sandwich to me!
ReplyDeleteSame croissants I dreamt of last week?!? Look delicious!

That looks soooo good! I am hungry right now!!!
ReplyDeleteTrue dat.
ReplyDeleteAnd you are also so right about not using miracle whip. It's so bleh as a sandwich spread and no, it's not mayonaise. However, I personally would skip the mayo altogether and simply use butter. Add some freshly ground pepper and you're in heaven. ;)
Cheers,
Tobias
I second what Tobias said - just use butter. This looks really yummy, too bad we can only get croissants that are so-so around here... BTW, I recently gave you the "Versatile Blogger" award! Just FYI.
ReplyDeleteI would agree with you and Tobias because a crossiant is so moist you don't need mayo but I do like to use very little becuase I love the tang it gives it. Thanks for the award. I need to go check it out.
ReplyDeleteHey Andrea I wanted to let you know I too nominated you for the Versatile blogger award! I love your blog and of course the drinks you post ;) check it out.
ReplyDeleteI'm about to have a croissant sandwich right now! Aren't they great? I love this turkey variation!
ReplyDeleteI don't eat turkey and I try to stay away from croissants, but this sandwich looks sooo good.
ReplyDeleteWow. I would love to relish it this weekend. Thanks for sharing
