Celebration

I am celebrating today because I officially have over 200 followers and have more than 11,000 views. I guess I am celebrating because when I started this blog about 4 months ago I never thought anybody would read it or care about what I am cooking. I have found a whole new way to find recipes and a large number of other people who love food and cooking as much as me. It has been so much fun to have friends, family and complete strangers comment on my dishes. I love when I run into friends at the super market and they tell me they are making my pork recipe or call me on the phone and ask what do you do if you can't find a certain ingredient. It makes me smile to get a text that says my husband just loves those potato skins and he doesn't like anything. I know how frustrating it is to put effort into cooking and it doesn't turn out the way you hoped. It has only been a short 4 months but I am having a blast and hope you all keep following and enjoying my short stories and recipes I put on here. If you have requests for dishes you would like me to make please let me know. 

Here is my new favorite cocktail to make. I love it and so does my husband Ben.

1 1/2 oz Vodka 

1 oz cranberry juice

1 oz fresh squeezed grapefruit juice

1/2 oz triple sec

Pour it all in shaker add ice and shake vigorously. Take a chilled martini glass and wet the rim with left over grapefruit. Dip it into superfine white sugar. pour drink into glass and serve. It is quite refreshing.
